Introduction (by Chicago)

Music to set the mood...
Hey there, our names are Avery and Evan!

We are two kids who are just trying to see the world in a different light, and spread some happiness along the way. We live in Southern MA and love exploring as far as we possibly can go (without the car breaking down of course). 

So, here's a post about getting to know us a little better before we delve deep into our crazy adventures and ideas :)

I'm Avery and I'm a junior in college studying English and hoping to become a high school teacher. 

I'm obsessed with all things 60's and 70's and enjoy reading and writing when I'm not strumming on my guitar. In addition, I love writing songs and lyrics, and get a lot of my inspiration from all the different places I visit with Evan! 

Some of my favorite bands and artists are Chicago, The Band, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, The Raspberries, Led Zeppelin, and The Monkees. I really love folky kind of music that tells stories through beautiful language, and that's why Bob Dylan and The Band are part of my all time favorites. However, Chicago is up there too, mainly because of their sound and band members who I've come to deeply love. 

My favorite places (so far) that we've explored are Woodstock in New York, East Mountain in Vermont, and Walpack Township in New Jersey! You'll get to read about these special experiences very soon. 

My specialty is writing, so I believe my main job in this blog will be to expertly craft each adventure (or idea!) into short little stories that'll keep readers wanting more! I love giving great details and putting everything I have into the words that I write. Hopefully in the future we are able to also vlog so you guys can see our road trips first-hand! 

Alright, I think that's enough of me for now!

As you may have guessed, my name is Evan, and I'm in high school. I love traveling, but I'm not talking about your average luxury cruise or day-trip to New York City. I'm talking about going to the country, climbing mountains, discovering the past, and not being afraid to get in trouble. You know, the classic kind of traveling. That's not to say I don't enjoy the occasional venture into the city, after all, I'll do anything to get out of the house.
I run another somewhat successful blog here on blogger entitled EvanHikes, where I catalog one of my favorite past times, that being hiking. I can't wait to see how much further these blogs can take me. Some of my favorite spots include the Mohawk Trail, the White Mountains, Baxter State Park, the Catskills, the Adirondacks, and especially the Green Mountains in Vermont. I can't wait to broaden my traveling world outside of New England.
Some of my biggest musical inspirations are The Talking Heads, Chicago, Love, The Band, Steve Miller, Yes, and The Beatles. I hope my love for these bands comes through in my writing.
I'm super excited to be able to write about these experiences. For the longest time, I've been trying to find a place to discuss my adventures outside of hiking, as I limit my other blog to just that. It's great to have a new format, and I'm very excited to have more people reading. 

Last, but not least, this blog won't JUST be for adventures! Evan and I are into a lot of really fun things that we think will be great to write about. Here's some other topics to expect out of us: music reviews, vlogs, history facts/lessons, ideas we have, and whatever else comes to mind! I'm sure we'll think of much more as the blog expands.
